Data Sharing Policy
Annals of Infectious Diseases and Therapy supports the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and expects authors to make the data underlying their findings available to readers wherever ethically and legally possible.
Data availability statement
Every research article must include a Data Availability Statement in the Declarations section. Acceptable forms:
- The datasets generated and analysed during the current study are available in the [name] repository, [DOI/URL].
- All data generated or analysed during this study are included in this published article and its supplementary files.
- The data are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request. (Give the reason public deposit is not possible.)
- The data are not publicly available because [ethical/legal reason], but are available from [contact] under [conditions].
- Data sharing is not applicable to this article as no datasets were generated or analysed.
Recommended repositories
Deposit data in a recognised, discipline-appropriate repository that assigns a persistent identifier, such as Dryad, Zenodo, Figshare, Open Science Framework, Mendeley Data, or a subject repository listed in re3data.org. Cite the dataset in the reference list.
Sensitive and personal data
Human participant data must be de-identified before sharing. Where de-identification is not sufficient to protect participants, controlled access through a data access committee is preferred over no sharing. Authors must not share data in breach of the consent obtained.
Code and materials
Custom code and analysis scripts should be deposited in a public repository (e.g. GitHub with a Zenodo DOI) and cited. Novel materials should be made available to other researchers for non-commercial use.
Peer review
Reviewers may ask to see the underlying data, and editors may require it before acceptance.
Compliance
Manuscripts without a Data Availability Statement will be returned. A statement found to be false after publication is handled under the Corrections and Retractions Policy.
