Responsibilities of editors
Editors of Annals of Infectious Diseases and Therapy are expected to:
- Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, relevance, and originality, without regard to the authors' nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, political views, or institutional affiliation.
- Keep all submitted material confidential and use it for no purpose other than evaluation.
- Declare any conflict of interest with a manuscript and recuse themselves from its handling.
- Follow the COPE Core Practices and the journal's published policies.
- Act promptly on allegations of misconduct in accordance with the Publication Ethics policy.
- Not use their position to advance their own work; an editor's own submission is handled entirely by another editor with no visibility to the author-editor.
