Aim & Scope
Archives of Clinical Case Reports (ACCR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Somato Publications. It publishes clinical case reports and case series from every medical specialty.
Good case reports teach something: an unusual presentation, a diagnostic trap, an unexpected response to treatment. That is what we look for.
Scope
ACCR publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:
- Rare and unusual presentations
- Diagnostic challenges
- Unexpected treatment outcomes and adverse events
- Case series across specialties
- Images in clinical medicine
- Clinical reviews linked to cases
- Lessons for everyday practice
Peer Review
Every submission goes through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject. The usual time from submission to first editorial decision is 12–14 weeks. See the Peer Review Policy for details.
Originality
All manuscripts are screened for similarity with iThenticate before they go to reviewers, as set out in the Plagiarism Policy.
Open Access and Licensing
ACCR is fully open access. Authors keep the copyright in their work, which is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Article Processing Charges
An Article Processing Charge applies only after acceptance, set by the corresponding author's country income level and the article type. Full waivers are available for authors from low-income countries, for genuine financial hardship, and for unfunded students and early-career researchers. See Article Processing Charges.
